Mothers Day 2007

A First Christmas

We all had a great first Christmas for Tom.

On Christmas Eve, Waz, Mel and Harry came over in the morning for breakfast and present opening. For lunch we three went over to the Summerton Grandies for lunch with Claire as well.

On Christmas Day, we had Brunch and a later lunch at our house. It was a great day and Tom had fun with the wrapping paper from the presents... i sure the right comment here is "Priceless".

We headed up to the Doyle Grandies that evening with the car loaded up with people, puppies, pressies and Tom's stuff.... so so much stuff for 1 little fella.

On Boxing day we had a great lunch at Trio's on the Noosa river and of course we started watching the 4th Test... the poor pommies.

For the rest of the week, Tom stayed with the Doyle Grandies whilst Meg and I drove back to the Gold Coast for Meg to work Thursday and Friday and for me to play just a little bit of golf.

We finished off the festive period with New Years eve with Waz, Mel, Harry, Mel's Parents Bert and Jill, and the Doyle Grandies at Sunshine Beach. It was a great night.

Dinner with Waz, Mel and Harry

On Friday we went over to Waz, Mel and Harry's for dinner. Michele, recently back from her stint in France was there for a while and got to meet Tom for the first time.

A "gammy" eye!

Well, it looks like Tom's tear ducts are coming through and yesterday morning the poor little guy could only wake up with one eye because the other was glued shut.

Hopefully this will pass over the next week or so.

Brisbane Show'n'Tell

We all travelled up to Brisbane for the weekend to see all the Brisbane friends and family.

We got in on Friday morning and KD (Kerry Matiske) picked us all up from the airport and took us back to their lovely house in Tarragindi.

On the Friday afternoon, Nanna & Grandpa Summerton came over for a visit and helped look after Tom and Olivia (KD's daughter).

Saturday was a busy day with a friends get together in the morning at a cafe in the Valley where we saw:

• Jodie, Steve and Reilly
• Petria and partner (forgot his name.. so sorry)
• Nanna and Grandpa Doyle
• Nathan

It was a good morning of talking about babies and things babies do and more about babies and so on.

In the afternoon we met up with the extended Doyle side of the family at New Farm Park, where we saw:

It was a good afternoon with a lot of clucky relatives all after a cuddle with Tom.

We had a great dinner that night at KD's cooked by Andrew(husband) and on Sunday morning after a quick visit from Nanna and Grandpa Doyle we headed home.

Thanks so much to Marnie for looking after the puppies whilst we were off in Brisbane.

The Weigh In!

Here is Tom's big weigh in, only minutes after he was born. As you can see he was 7lbs 7oz or 3.375 Kgs.
